Paper vessels

The Paper vessels project showcases the versatility of paper and its potential beyond traditional uses. Instead of using paper as the "vessel" with which information is conveyed, the project explores the use of printed paper as the material with which a three-dimensional vessel is made. Through techniques such as paper mache and paper pulping, I create functional paper bowls. Depending on the way these bowls are crafted they either display the paper's previous life in fragments of text and images, or curry it hidden within its fibres.
