Memories

This project was an attempt to interpret intangible recollections by giving them a perceptible existence. A try to transition from the invisible to the visible, from absence to presence. Everyday objects, trigger a mental dialogue with the past and their original owner, leading in a quest of reconnecting with what used to be. By taking paper casts of physical objects, the memory associated with it is embedded in the matter, in this case paper pulp, and acquires visual status, even though the “item” which defines it, is absent.
